DIXIE METAL PRODUCTS – Maintenance Technician

Dixie Metal Products ("Dixie") is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair production equipment and facility systems in a metal manufacturing environment. This hands‑on role requires strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills to support safe, efficient operations and minimize downtime.

• Diagnose electrical faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and PLC diagnostic tools.
• Identify and resolve hydraulic issues including pressure loss, cylinder drift, pump failure, and valve malfunction.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems related to vibration, misalignment, wear, and fatigue.
• Respond promptly to production breakdowns to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in inspecting/maintaining equipment, electrical, plumbing, and other basic maintenance skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying temperature conditions.
• Must be able to stand, crouch, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination are required for precision work.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and maintain on‑call availability to support 24/7 production operations.
