RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure manufacturing, quality, and safety requirements are met.

Work from schedules, manuals, wiring diagrams, shop orders, prints, pick lists, BOMs, photos, and instructions; become familiar with schematics.

Identify and understand basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components used in assembly.

Review shop orders and similar materials to determine requirements; retrieve parts, materials, and supplies from staging locations.

Operate hand and power tools.

Participate in LEAN and continuous improvement activities.

Assist with operations as required to maintain workflow or respond to production requirements.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

Power tools: saws, impact wrenches, grinders, belt sander, drill press.
Hand tools: tape measure, templates, heat gun.
Overhead crane and fabrication equipment: punch presses, shears, press brakes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school graduate or General Education Diploma.
Math and blueprint reading skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lift/Push/Pull up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 20 pounds constantly.

Climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles.

Stooping, bending at waist.

Kneeling.

Crouching/Crawling/Reaching.

Standing for sustained periods.

Walking long distances.

Visual acuity for operating machines and vehicles.

Exposure to hazards such as moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, high heat, chemicals.
