Job SummaryPerform advanced welding tasks involving fit‑up, welding, and repair of metal and other weldable materials using a variety of techniques, with a specialization in 2G, 3G, or 6G welding.
Responsibilities- Certified to weld in all positions—horizontal, vertical, overhead, and fixed 45‑degree angle—with complex welding that requires precision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and diagrams to determine appropriate welding processes and sequences.
- Prepare materials and setups, ensuring all welds meet structural and safety standards.
- Inspect completed welds for defects and ensure adherence to codes and industry regulations, including third‑party testing, NDT, AWS, and 100 standards.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and automated systems, working with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys as required.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures for hazardous environments and assist in training other welders when needed.
- Must have 0–1 year of certified welding experience or proven comparable qualifications.
- Other duties may include performing or assisting with any operations required to maintain workflow or respond to production demands.
- Follow safety rules, maintain safe operating conditions in the area of responsibility, and notify supervisors of unusual conditions.
- Attend and participate in meetings, training programs, and task force groups to communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain knowledge of changes to equipment or processes; assist with training and orientation of new or transferred employees.
- Hand and power tools, tape measure, level, welding machines, fixtures, overhead cranes.
- SAFETY: Follow E‑ONE General Health & Safety Rules, ensure safe operating conditions, use PPE, promote safety, and maintain a clean work environment in line with 5‑S Philosophy.
- QUALITY: Deliver defect‑free work, understand quality system requirements, check work for conformance, identify non‑conforming products, and assist in corrective actions.
- FLEXIBILITY: Willingness to work in other areas, take lunch and break breaks as workflow requires, and work additional hours when necessary.
- INITIATIVE: Participate in continuous improvement, suggest product and process enhancements, and implement improvements through Minor Kaizen processes.
- TEAMWORK: Demonstrate a positive attitude, collaborate constructively with colleagues, and contribute to team efforts for continuous improvement.
- LEAN: Use skills to eliminate waste, support 5‑S and visual management tools, and participate in Kaizen events and Lean Certification programs.
