You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for Ocala Operations. At Lockheed Martin, you can build a career out of making things happen! Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that build circuit card, wiring harnesses, and electro-assemblies. Ocala specializes in both low volume
-high mix and high volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for:
- Candidate shall be able to develop and implement Manufacturing Process Plans for a variety of electronic, cables & harness and electromechanical assemblies, including material and process specifications.
- Utilize basic drafting and software programs to develop process plans, tooling, support equipment, process flows.
- Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce cost and increase yields.
- Must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.

Desired skills:
- Green Belt or Black Belt Trained in Lean Six Sigma
- CCA and Cable and Harness manufacturing experience in accordance with specifications IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC-WHMA-A-620
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Experience with Non-Recurring Engineering
- Ability to lead and train peers
- Familiarity with Windchill and MPMLink
- Detail oriented personality
- Excellent process development and documentation skills. (MS Office)
- Experienced with visual based work instructions (creating and providing feedback)
- Ability to use CAD software (Creo and AutoCAD preferred)
