Fidelity Manufacturing is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build backup power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.
Job Summary- Performs various physical duties in an outdoor environment. The work environment involves outside exposure and indoor manufacturing warehouse atmosphere with extreme temperature changes, loud noises and machinery with moving parts.
- A steady hand and real attention to detail is required.
- Effectively moves, loads and unloads materials and equipment utilizing light and heavy equipment on a day-to-day basis.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours.
- Receiving of customer supplied generators and ship loose including directing traffic, inspecting items arriving, documenting items arriving, measuring components using a tape measure, labeling, following all S.O.P.’s, checklists, safety procedures.
- Shipping of finished product and customer ship loose including cleaning equipment, counting, verifying product following checklists, documenting items leaving the facility, directing traffic, following all S.O.P’s, checklists, safety procedures.
- Effectively moves, loads and unloads materials and equipment utilizing light and heavy equipment on a day-to-day basis.
- Storage of customer supplied equipment in appropriate areas.
- Tarping and maintaining a covered and clean area for all customer equipment from the elements.
- Effective communication with department supervisors.
- Ability to be flexible with changing schedule of items leaving the facility.
- Ability to work under pressure and apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
- 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience minimum.
- Experience rigging and setting equipment preferred.
- Previous experience in particular industry preferred.
- Port experience a plus.
- Class V forklifts ranging from a 5,000 lb lift capacity to 39,000 lb lift capacity.
- Combi Lift Stacker rated for 77,000 lbs lift capacity.
- Crane equipment when needed.
- Hand tools and banding equipment.
- Laborer/Shipping: 5 years’ experience.
- Forklift/heavy equipment operator: 5 years’ experience.
- Ability to read labels, safety warnings, drawings, and guidelines.
- Attention to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety. Situational awareness of surroundings, risk and hazards.
- Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
- Ability to follow through on work assignments.
- Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Self‑motivated. Must be willing to work flexible hours.
All employees must also be able to work in a warehouse setting that includes exposure to noise, all-weather conditions, small levels of airborne particles and occasionally lift more than 50-75 lbs. Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards, and company policy.
