Overview
Production & Warehouse Leader position within Ingersoll Rand's CSS North America division. This high-impact role leads day-to-day operations across a growing aftermarket site with established warehouse functionality and expanding light production. The leader builds operational discipline, develops high-performing teams, improves workflow, and ensures safety, quality, productivity, and customer commitments are consistently met. The role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and champions Lean practices and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Operational Leadership & Site Execution:
Lead day-to-day operations across the manufacturing and warehouse environment, including Production Operations, Materials, Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, and Lean implementation. - Establish and drive site goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (SQDIP), aligning with business priorities and customer commitments.
- Collaborate with customers, cross-functional leaders, and internal teams to meet production requirements and achieve business outcomes.
- Align department goals and activities with broader organizational goals using policy deployment.
- Production Planning, Capacity & Inventory Management:
Leverage budgeting, forecasting, and Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning (SI&OP) rhythms to ensure scheduling, capacity, and headcount support plant success. - Manage manufacturing schedules to meet customer requirements while optimizing inventory, staffing, work procedures, duty assignments, budget constraints, and timelines.
- Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost-control programs.
- Ensure production and quality control systems are effective by analyzing production, quality, and operational data to maintain high-quality yields.
- Metrics, Financial Performance & Continuous Improvement:
Implement and monitor meaningful performance indicators across EHS, People, Service, Quality, Cost, and Growth to deliver business results. - Drive performance against CEO metrics, financial goals, site objectives, and continuous improvement priorities (EHS, quality, delivery, inventory turns, process efficiency, cost).
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by championing Lean Manufacturing principles and implementing site-wide process improvements.
- People Leadership & Team Development:
Guide, motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve targets, maintain a safe work environment, and perform at high levels. - Establish a strong site culture with clear priorities around execution, communication, employee relations, and accountability.
- Encourage employee involvement and ownership in achieving excellence across SQDIP and compliance.
- Develop and utilize people resources effectively through talent management processes.
- Create effective teams to resolve production or processing problems promptly.
- Coach and review the performance of direct reports.
- EHS, Quality & Compliance:
Partner with EHS specialists to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational programs, including OSHA and applicable environmental agencies. - Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, compliance, and operational discipline across production and warehouse operations.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (preferably in Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain or related field).
- 7+ years of experience in a warehouse manufacturing industrial environment.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience leading and managing individuals and teams.
- 2+ years of experience with ERP systems (specifically SAP) and inventory control processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and key drivers within the manufacturing environment.
