Description

Job Summary:

World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking a versatile & detail‑oriented Resort Communications Specialist to support storytelling and content production across the resort. The Communications Specialist will play a key role in shaping and executing content across a diverse portfolio that includes luxury lodging, signature events, food & beverage, spa & wellness, retail, sports & resort experiences.

This individual will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and operate under the guidance of the Senior Marketing Manager to deliver high‑quality content and ensure cohesive messaging across all touchpoints promoting the property’s resort offerings.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and write compelling brand‑aligned content across multiple channels, including campaigns, blogs, long‑form editorial, social media, website, digital and print advertising.
  • Write and edit copies for advertising campaigns, marketing collateral, promotional materials, web pages, menus and other brand assets.
  • Refine campaign content, ensuring messaging aligns with brand goals and drives measurable results.
  • Manage an editorial content calendar and collaborate with other colleagues, teams and stakeholders to align content needs.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager on resort marketing, assisting in all areas of content production to drive sales, engagement, traffic, awareness or other notable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teams to provide support with content and brand messaging as needed.
  • Ensure content is up to brand standard and follows AP Style and in‑house style guides.
  • Assist with creating, updating and maintaining website content and copy and optimizing SEO for search engines, including managing and updating content and editorial calendars.
  • Audit content regularly, ensuring copy is optimized for SEO, GEO and other areas of opportunity.
  • Conduct analysis of content marketing strategies, providing insights and recommendations to adjust accordingly, and present insights and recommendations for improvements to leadership.
  • Stay informed on industry and travel and tourism trends, as well as best practices in content marketing.

Qualifications, Education, Experience,

Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, English or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in marketing, preferably within the hospitality or travel industries.
  • Strong copywriting and content development skills with experience creating engaging, on‑brand messaging for web, social, and digital campaigns.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing tools and content management systems.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Self‑motivated team player with a proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
