Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing exceptional mental health care at Universal Health Services, Inc. located in the United States. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver compassionate and effective healthcare services to our communities. The RN participates in treatment planning as a member of the interdisciplinary team; provides assessment of patients' psychiatric and medical status;

administers medication and medical treatment as prescribed by physician; assesses, directs and intervenes in crisis situations; provides and directs milieu management, and additional tasks as needed. Best candidates for this position will have behavioral health experience, a strong work ethic, and highly consistent timeliness and attendance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Participate in crisis intervention as needed.
  • Uphold compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education: Associate degree in Nursing required. Bachelor s degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mental health field preferred.

License: Licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse required.

Skills: Excellent communication skills. Ability to relate to those emotionally disturbed and in crisis.
