Registered Nurse (RN) | Interventional Radiology
Location: Ocala, FL Agency: Fusion Medical Staffing Pay: $1,668 to $1,917 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Ocala, Florida. As a member of our team, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures in the IR lab, including pre‑procedure assessment, intra‑procedure monitoring, sedation administration, and post‑procedure recovery management.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive pre‑procedure assessments, including reviewing medical history and lab results
- Educate patients and families about IR procedures, sedation, and post‑procedure care
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and oxygenation levels during procedures
- Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring proper positioning, sterile technique, and instrument handling
- Recognize and respond to complications, escalating care when necessary
- Provide post‑procedure monitoring and recovery care, including pain management and patient discharge education
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, medications, and procedural details
- Collaborate with IR technologists, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
- One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- PALS or ENPC certifications
- ACLS certification
- RCIS/RCES certification
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- English reading, writing, and verbal communication proficiency
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical ability to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel
- Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and use of department equipment
- Mental resilience under pressure with irregular activity schedules and continuous concentration
