RN New Grad Program – Chasta Medical Staffing, Ocala, FL

The StaRN/Residency is a yearlong residency that begins with a 10‑16 week paid classroom/preceptorship program. It allows new graduate nurses to obtain acute care nursing experience through an intensive internship program.

Part 1:
StaRN Training – First 5‑8 weeks (depending on specialty)

• Instructor‑led classroom training
• State‑of‑the‑art simulation with comprehensive debriefs
• Certifications needed for each unit
• Training on charting systems
• Schedule:
  
  Monday‑Friday, 40‑hour work weeks (8‑hour days)

Part 2:
StaRN Clinical Preceptorship – Next 7‑8 weeks (depending on specialty)

• Conducted at the hospital
• One‑on‑one preceptor to train and acclimate you to your role
• Regular development meetings with the resident, preceptor, and director
• Customized coaching/onboarding report for clinical preceptorship
• Schedule:
  
  typically three 12‑hour shifts at the hospital

Part 3:
Residency Program – Remainder of the first year

• Upon successful completion, residents transition to full‑time roles and receive continuing professional development
• Monthly mentor meetings
• Complete an evidence‑based capstone project

• Current Florida RN license or Multi‑state Compact RN license
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing within the past year
• Self‑motivated with strong communication skills
• Attendance mandatory throughout training
• New graduates accepted with or without RN license
• Candidates with prior home health, agency, or LTAC experience accepted
• Must graduate from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school

• Medical/Surgical: $27.20 – $29.93 per hour
• Critical Care, ICU, ED: $29.92+ per hour

• $7,500, paid once training/preceptorship is complete (you must commit to a 2‑year period)

• Full‑time
• Hourly salary: $27.00 – $29.00
