Non-Surgical Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Non-Surgical Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in Ocala, FL. This role focuses on outpatient cardiology care, supporting patients with cardiovascular conditions through diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care under physician supervision.
• Conduct physical exams, obtain medical histories, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Manage chronic cardiovascular conditions (e.g., hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart failure).
• Adjust pacemaker settings and interpret electrocardiograms.
• Supervise and interpret nuclear and treadmill stress tests.
• Provide post-procedural follow-up and anticoagulation therapy management.
• Assist with or independently perform minor in-office procedures.
• Educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Participate in call coverage and occasional evening/weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience in a cardiology setting.
• Current Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license.
• Board Certification as an ARNP.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.
