Shift: Days (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)

- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses. Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to life‑threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
- Skills required to work in critical care area as defined by unit [Required]

- Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft Windows‑based programs [Required]

- EKG knowledge (based on patient population; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements) [Required]
- EPIC [Preferred]
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
- 2+ years' recent acute care experience [Required]
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- BLS (Basic Life Support - CPR) [Required]
- Stroke Certification – NIHSS [Required]
Physical Requirements -
Pay Range$31.53 - $52.24
Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
