Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership and oversight for a designated nursing unit within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. The RN Unit Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care, supervising nursing staff, coordinating clinical services, and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations. This role serves as a key liaison between residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members while fostering a positive, resident-centered environment.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support licensed nurses and nursing assistants.
  • Ensure residents receive quality care in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Conduct rounds to assess resident conditions, identify concerns, and ensure timely interventions.
  • Coordinate resident care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor documentation, medication administration, and treatment records for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with quality assurance, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Support staff development through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
