Tourist Information Assistant
The community of communes of the Avant-Monts, in the heart of Hérault, brings together 25 municipalities. Its privileged location between Béziers and Bédarieux, between sea and mountain, its natural, heritage, and wine tourism riches make it an ideally located tourist destination to radiate throughout Hérault. The tourism office is located in Magalas. From May to September, the office opens a seasonal tourist information bureau at the Moulins de Faugères.
The tourism office service is composed of a director, a coordinator, a full nature activity representative, a manager, and two vacation counselors. The team is reinforced by seasonal workers from May to September.
You will be supervised by the coordinator of the tourism office.
Your main duties:
Welcome to the public at the tourist site of the Moulins de Faugères
Tourist stay advice and guided tour of the mill
Participation in events organized at the Moulins de Faugères
Your tasks:
Physical and telephone welcome in bilingual
Site animation: treasure hunt, kite flying, etc.
Participation in events: follow-up of the organization, welcome to speakers and public, purchases...
Entry on the Tourinsoft database & Tourinsoft reception module for statistical analysis of attendance
Welcome to individual or group visitors
Guided tour of the mill: mechanism, history, function...
Sale of tickets and boutique products, cash handling as a mandate of the under authority of the titular and deputy managers.

Knowledge of the tourist offer of the territory.
Use of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to sell the destination, Ability to conduct guided tours.
Know-how
Ability to listen and express; discretion; punctuality; courtesy. Ability to work in a team. Capacity for initiative, responsiveness, dynamism, availability. Sense of communication.
Conditions2 positions available:
Seasonal Stay Counselor (fluent English)1 CDD of 34 hours from May 4 to September 30, 2026
1 CDD of 27 hours from May 15 to September 27, 2026
From May 4 to May 13:
9:00 AM-12:30 PM – 1:30 PM-5:00 PM Monday to Friday in Magalas (training and season preparation)
From May 15 to September 30:
10:00 AM-1:00 PM and 3:00 PM-7:00 PM / 5 days a week between Monday and Sunday
2 consecutive days off in the week.

Remuneration according to the current regulations:
Base SMIC + paid leave
