Job Overview

Plans, organizes, conducts, evaluates, dispositions, and reports on activities associated with Quality Assurance and Control in regard to manufacturing materials, processes, and products. Activities include auditing, problem analysis, data gathering, problem resolution, and processing documentation in a concise and timely manner to support company objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, measure, analyze, and document materials, components, processes, and finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and quality requirements.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications, and technical data to determine inspection methods, testing requirements, tolerances, and appropriate measuring instruments.
  • Identify, document, quarantine, and disposition non-conforming material through the NCR/MRB process; communicate significant quality issues and support timely closure of open NCRs.
  • Maintain accurate and organized quality records, inspection documentation, procedures, work instructions, and files to support internal requirements and third-party inspections.
  • Calibrate, adjust, maintain, and perform routine checks or repairs on inspection and measurement equipment while maintaining accurate calibration records and logs.
  • Support ISO 9001 and applicable regulatory, customer, and industry quality requirements by conducting internal audits, documenting findings, reporting deficiencies, and supporting corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality and documentation issues, communicate technical findings, and drive quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and housekeeping standards while promoting a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent or two or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with welding, electrical wiring, and assembly processes.
  • Receiving inspections on machine parts background.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment and accurately interpret the results.
  • AWS Welding symbols comprehension
  • Prefer welding knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Div. I welding requirements and GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW, and SMAW welding processes.
  • Understand and read WPS/PQRs/WPQs
