You will be the Quality Engineer Staff for the Supplier Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for delivering high-quality supplier components, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Quality Engineer Staff you will be responsible for leading supplier quality initiatives that safeguard mission‑critical hardware. You will partner with suppliers, supply‑chain, engineering, and operations to resolve complex quality issues and elevate supplier performance. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead complex supplier quality investigations and root‑cause analyses.
- Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives and corrective‑action plans.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for procured components. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

The Supplier Quality Engineer serves as a key quality interface between suppliers, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and customers. This role independently leads complex supplier quality issues, supplier performance improvement, risk mitigation, corrective action, and compliance activities to ensure procured products and services meet contractual, technical, quality, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will influence cross‑functional teams and suppliers to prevent defects, improve performance, reduce program risk, and achieve quality, cost, schedule, and mission success objectives.
BasicQualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent professional experience consistent with Level 4 responsibilities
- Extensive experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related aerospace/defense quality discipline
- Demonstrated ability to independently investigate and resolve complex supplier quality and manufacturing issues
- Working knowledge and practical application of Quality Management System requirements such as AS9100 and/or ISO 9001
- Demonstrated experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies and corrective action effectiveness
- Experience analyzing supplier quality data, identifying systemic trends, and developing risk‑based improvement actions
- Experience with supplier quality processes including source inspection, First Article Inspection (FAI), or supplier audits
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authority
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with suppliers, customers, engineering, program leadership, and senior management
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to independently manage multiple complex assignments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
