Retail Supervisor - Mr. Pickles & Sailor Bear Toy Shoppe - World Equestrian Center Ocala

WEC is looking for dedicated Retail Senior Supervisor to drive business and support management. The Retail Senior Supervisor supports the Retail Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, leading multiple retail teams, and ensuring excellence across all aspects of sales, service, and merchandising.

This position acts as a bridge between Retail Supervisors and upper management, driving consistent execution of company standards and initiatives. The Senior Retail Supervisor will ensure operational consistency across all locations or departments within the retail division while fostering an environment of high morale, teamwork, and accountability.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the daily operations of multiple retail outlets or departments, ensuring all teams meet performance goals and uphold company standards.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and direct support to Retail Supervisors to ensure alignment with WEC’s operational objectives and service expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Manager to develop sales strategies, promotional plans, and operational improvements that drive profitability and efficiency.
  • Oversee merchandising, inventory control, and visual presentation standards across all locations to maintain consistency and brand integrity.
  • Conduct regular store walks and performance audits, ensuring compliance with all SOPs and providing feedback and action plans for improvement.
  • Manage staffing schedules, evaluate performance, and participate in recruitment and onboarding for supervisory and team member positions.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for customer or operational issues unresolved at the Supervisor level, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
  • Monitor financial performance, prepare operational reports, and track sales trends to support data-driven decisions.
  • Lead training sessions, staff meetings, and cross-departmental initiatives to strengthen communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Assist the Retail Manager in implementing new systems, technologies, and policy updates.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely deliveries and proper product rotation.
  • Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and accountability within the retail team.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Retail Manager.

Physical Requirements
  • Team Member may have to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive retail leadership experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
  • Proven success managing multiple retail teams or locations simultaneously.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of retail sales, inventory management, merchandising, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods and perform moderate physical activity as required.
