The General Store Cashier is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently assisting guests with purchases and inquiries in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate has prior experience in customer service and cash handling, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for creating positive guest experiences.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist all customers with purchases, questions, and special requests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Accurately process transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments, in accordance with company policies.
  • Understand and adhere to all guidelines regarding restricted-sale items.
  • Follow all cash handling, balancing, and loss prevention procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of property shows, promotions, and upcoming events, as well as local area attractions.
  • Label, stock, rotate, and inventory merchandise as required.
  • Maintain awareness of inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to leadership.
  • Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
  • Consistently provide excellent customer service that reflects the World Equestrian Center brand standards.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Fast-paced retail environment with frequent interaction with guests and team members.
  • May be required to work indoors with occasional exposure to varying temperatures.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays with flexible availability.
