Job Summary

Working closely with the Assistant Club Manager of Merchandise, the Assistant Night Manager ensures merchandise is properly stocked and available for sale, maintains presentation standards, delivers a positive member experience, and oversees nightly execution and performance of merchandise department tasks. The role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but directs the work of the overnight team, coaching, teaching, and developing all overnight team members to meet Grand Opening Look Daily (GOLD) standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead overnight merchandising execution with purpose, collaborating with the Assistant Club Manager of Merchandising to drive performance.
  • Support execution of merchandising tasks, including display setup, pallet movement, and sales floor resets, to prepare the club for morning operations.
  • Ensure merchandise presentation and availability, correctly merchandised with proper signage and spacing.
  • Implement corporate merchandising plans, resets, and sales initiatives on time and in full.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance sales by recommending merchandising strategy improvements.
  • Maintain building and equipment readiness, overseeing safe operation of overnight equipment and the building.
  • Model and enforce safe forklift operation, perform required inspections, and maintain sanitation protocols.
  • Drive safety and sanitation compliance, including steel and pallet safety checks and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure proper execution of inventory controls, overseeing daily Hot List completion and pallet tag placement.
  • Utilize reporting tools such as the Hot List, NAFS, price sign reports, and productivity dashboards to guide focus and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with other department managers and club leadership to align overnight processes with daytime operations.
  • Uphold and enforce all company policies, operational guidelines, and safety requirements during the overnight shift.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and maintain regular, predictable attendance on overnight shifts.
Qualifications
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, Email).
  • High school diploma, college degree, and/or experience in big box wholesale, retail, grocery, and/or management.
  • Forklift operator required; prior forklift operating and merchandising experience is preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Open shift availability required.
  • Must maintain all training and required certifications.
Job Conditions

Frequent movement on hard surfaces, occasional bending, pulling, and reaching. Regular lifting of up to 30 pounds; occasional heavier lifting with assistance. Requires using a pallet jack to pull/push pallets. Exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises within perishable areas. Potential exposure to cleaning agents.

Compensation

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. The pay range for this position is starting from $20.00.
