Leasing Specialist | The Collier Companies

This is an on‑site role located in one of The Collier Companies’ community offices in Ocala, Florida.

As a Leasing Specialist, you are the first point of contact for prospects and residents, creating unique experiences and ensuring that each resident feels they are moving into a home, not just an apartment.

A Leasing Specialist is responsible for creating positive experiences for potential residents, following up on leads, and closing lease agreements. Success requires goal orientation, personal accountability, and a drive to learn, lead, and grow.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and prospects.
  • Lease apartment homes by building relationships and showcasing community benefits.
  • Maintain an “always be closing” approach over phone, email, and in person.
  • Generate leads through effective follow‑up by phone and email.
  • Create and implement promotional programs, including online advertising, direct marketing, social media outreach, and resident events.
  • Support occupancy goals by renewing current leases.
  • Maintain accurate resident files.
  • Work weekends as required.
Qualifications
  • Strong sales orientation with a desire to exceed leasing requirements.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer‑focused mentality.
  • Proficiency with software, apps, and computer programs.
  • Professional appearance with a career mindset.
  • Ability to multitask and shift priorities quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
  • 1‑2 years of leasing and/or customer‑service experience in retail, hospitality, housing, or multi‑family setting.
  • College education preferred.
