Irrigation Technician

Overview

Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club is in search of a motivated, team-oriented individual with previous landscape residential and or commercial irrigation experience. This person will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our irrigation systems throughout the residential and common areas of the Club. This Irrigation Technician will work with the Horticulture Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure the irrigation system is properly functioning.

• Maintain and repair irrigation systems across residential and common areas of the Club.
• Assist with preventative maintenance in designated systems, including edging of irrigation and drainage systems.
• Replace or adjust sprinkler heads to ensure even coverage and prevent dry or wet spots.
• Identify and repair leaks, clogs, and other system malfunctions promptly.
• Assist with cleanup and pumping of water after large storms/hurricanes as needed.
• Trains and supervises staff assigned to irrigation responsibilities.
• Complete purchase orders and submit them to the Manager for authorization.
• Demonstrate courtesy to all Members and guests at all times.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• 2-4 years as an Irrigation Technician.
• Experience with upkeep, repairs and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Maintain cleanliness of the irrigation parts room and inventory of supplies.
• Ability to work with the Horticulture Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure proper functioning of the irrigation system.
