Position: Residential Service Plumber (3-5yrs+ Experience Needed)

About This Role

We are seeking a Service Plumber to handle a range of residential plumbing tasks. In this role, you will perform service work that includes troubleshooting, installing, and repairing plumbing systems. You will diagnose issues, execute repairs and installations, and ensure that all work meets high‑quality standards and local codes. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with homeowners are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing problems and failures in plumbing systems and equipment
  • Determining whether repairs or replacements are needed for customers
  • Installing and assembling plumbing systems and equipment, including valves, pipe fittings, and pipes
  • Performing installation, maintenance, and repairs on water and gas systems, pipes, fittings, and components
  • Testing for leaks using compressed air and/or water to ensure functionality and safety
  • Repairing and maintaining plumbing systems by replacing washers, mending burst pipes, and clearing clogged drains
  • Managing the inventory of plumbing supplies in the vehicle, including checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts
  • Keeping equipment and tools operational by following manufacturers’ instructions and established procedures
  • Maintaining safety equipment
  • Additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial systems
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and 3 years of driving experience
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications
  • Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems
  • Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations
  • Experience with tools such as pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering tools
  • Strong problem‑solving skills to diagnose complex plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and supervisors
  • Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces
  • Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Track record of delivering excellent customer service with professionalism and satisfaction focus
  • Basic knowledge of mobile apps and work‑management software to track tasks and report progress
  • Leadership and teamwork ability to lead apprentices and coordinate with other trades on larger projects
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls, as needed

Physical Requirements Of This Job Include
  • Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, and using hand tools for fine detail work
  • Ability to drive and operate HVAC equipment
  • Working in various indoor and outdoor environments, including attics and crawlspaces
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear both in person and by telephone
  • Use of hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
  • Regular stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures indoors and outdoors, and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice, or snow
