Job Overview
Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club is seeking a motivated, team-oriented individual with previous golf course irrigation experience. This position will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our irrigation systems, including our existing Toro system and a new Rain Bird 2-wire irrigation system being installed beginning April 2026. During the installation period, the Irrigation Technician will play a key role in maintaining and operating the existing Toro system to ensure uninterrupted course conditions as well as helping with the new Rain Bird install.
This position will work alongside the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to ensure optimal system performance.

Experience Requirements- 2–4 years of experience as a Golf Course Irrigation Technician
- Responsible for the upkeep, repairs, and maintenance of irrigation systems, including continued operation of the Toro system during the transition and the new Rain Bird 2-wire system
- Maintains and troubleshoots the existing Toro irrigation system while the new Rain Bird 2-wire system is being installed
- Assists with installation, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of the new Rain Bird 2-wire system
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the irrigation parts room and manages inventory of supplies
- Assists the Golf Course Superintendent with preventative maintenance of designated systems, including edging of irrigation and drainage systems
- Replaces or adjusts sprinkler heads as needed to ensure even coverage and prevent dry or wet spots
- Identifies and repairs leaks, clogs, and other system malfunctions promptly
- Completes purchase orders and submits them to the Superintendent for authorization
- Trains and supervises staff assigned to irrigation responsibilities
- Assists with cleanup and pumping of water following large storms or hurricanes
- Demonstrates courtesy to all Members and guests at all times
- Must have a valid driver’s license
