Rigger/ Assembler
This role focuses on assembling critical components of firetrucks, including wiring, electronics, plumbing, and mechanical systems. You will follow detailed shop orders, blueprints, and schematics to install parts accurately and safely, using a variety of hand and power tools. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands-on work in a manufacturing environment and takes pride in building high-quality, mission-critical vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Assemble firetruck components by installing wiring, electronics, plumbing, and mechanical parts according to shop orders, blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical assembly tasks, ensuring all components are securely and correctly installed.
- Measure and mark locations for installation using a tape measure and other basic measuring tools to maintain accuracy and alignment.
- Interpret and follow construction drawings, blueprints, and schematics to route wiring, plumbing, and mechanical systems properly.
- Install and connect electrical and wiring systems, ensuring proper routing, connections, and basic preventive maintenance where required.
- Assist with plumbing and hydraulic line installation, including routing hoses, pipes, and fittings for mechanical and pneumatic systems.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Proficiency using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and basic measuring tools.
- Proficiency using power tools such as drills, impact tools, and other common shop equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial assembly is beneficial.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, or mechanical systems is a plus.
- Comfort working from detailed instructions and documentation while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
