The applicant will:
- Understand basic refrigeration cycle – how each component works, refrigeration recovery, refrigeration evacuation, and refrigeration charging.
- Be able to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits.
- Understand basic heating cycle – identifying components in heating systems, understanding how each component works, and diagnosing problems in the heating system using a gas pressure test and other devices for routine maintenance.
- Be able to braze and solder.
