Job Description Summary
The Electro‑Mechanical Technician Level4 is responsible for the day‑to‑day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on the conveyor system. Acts as a senior material handling technician on all equipment installed at the Ocala,FL site location and assists in mentoring lower‑level employees. Shift schedule: 4 days on and 3 days off working 12‑hour shifts. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
Responsibilities- Repair and maintenance of material handling equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
- Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot circuitry.
- Create and close work orders in the asset management system with appropriate data (labor hours, equipment maintenance, parts used).
- Troubleshoot conveyance problems and determine resources needed to resolve them.
- Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
- Perform complex maintenance and testing to ensure equipment meets specifications.
- Aid in training customers to operate equipment.
- Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
- Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or vocational/technical training preferred.
- Demonstrated senior‑level knowledge with 5‑7years of experience in a technical or specialty area.
- Proven experience in the areas of responsibility and successful completion of key tasks listed above.
- Customer‑facing communication skills through email and in‑person conversations with onsite leadership, company leadership, and technicians.
- Experience leading projects, teams, and directing day‑to‑day operations and tasks for an on‑site maintenance team.
- Specialized skill training or certifications preferred.
- Lifting and moving material up to 50pounds; occasional push and pull of wheeled dollies up to 100pounds.
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Able to climb ladders and gangways safely.
- Work may involve small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
4 days on and 3 days off working 12‑hour shifts. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
