Job SummaryWe are seeking Psychiatrists to provide acute crisis stabilization, psychiatric care, and detox services for adults with addiction or mental health issues. The role includes admission evaluations, daily patient care, treatment team leadership, and collaboration with administrative and clinical staff.
Responsibilities- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective communication with internal and external customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, maintain a positive attitude, and provide exemplary customer service.
- Work independently and complete assignments under provided instructions, routines, and standard practices.
- Florida Board certified MD specializing in Psychiatry.
- 2–3 years of patient treatment experience with children, adolescents, and adults.
- Florida License as a Psychiatrist issued by the Florida Department of Health.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to combine assessments, treatment planning, and intervention into meaningful documents.
- Communicate clearly with interdisciplinary treatment team members, managed care representatives, patients, and families.
- Knowledge of individual, group, and family therapy dynamics and techniques, including cultural, social, economic, and role expectations within families.
- Strong clinical skills to assess treatment dynamics accurately and develop effective strategies within the overall treatment plan.
- Understand client needs, growth and development stages, and the range of treatment required across the lifespan.
- Leadership abilities.
- Flexibility.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in General Psychiatry; active Florida license or ability to obtain licensure within 30 days of relocating.
- Ability to perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting productivity standards.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain a good mental attitude and be prepared for long hours of sitting with occasional bending and lifting of supplies, paper, medical records, etc.
- Physical confrontation and/or restraint may be necessary when dealing with residents.
