Overview

Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor – Ocala, FL. Provide professional VR counseling to individuals with disabilities to help them achieve employment goals.

• Assess medical, psychological, and vocational information to determine service eligibility and develop individualized employment plans.
• Coordinate, negotiate, and conduct job placement activities, building relationships with employers and community partners.
• Maintain client information and case records, provide technical assistance to internal and external customers, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Communicate effectively, analyze data, and balance multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Attend in‐person to support clients.
• Participate in required level‑2 background screening prior to hire.

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Business, Psychology, Education, Public Safety, Criminology, or a related field plus 2 years of professional experience.
• OR Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field plus 1 year of professional experience.
• Knowledge of vocational rehabilitation practices, interviewing techniques, medical/psychological aspects of disability, communication principles, vocational resources, and data analysis.
• Ability to compile, organize, and analyze data, administer tests, provide counseling and career‑planning guidance, develop VR programs, place clients, and maintain working relationships.
• Skills in developing and using community resources.
• Willingness and availability to perform in‑person duty.
