Position: Transit Driver (Must have a CDL with Passenger Endorsement)

Transit Bus Driver

Transit Bus Driver for RATP Dev USA at the Sun Tran location. You don’t have to worry if you’ve never driven a Transit Bus before. RATP Dev USA will teach and pay you while you train! The position is full time; part time is also available.

Salary

$17.50 per hour.

Qualifications
  • CDL Class A or B with Airbrakes and Passenger Endorsement (preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Excellent driving record
  • Availability to work varying shifts, hours, days, and locations
  • Must pass a physical examination and alcohol/drug test
  • Must be knowledgeable of the Ocala Street network
  • Maintain a satisfactory level on work performance evaluations
  • Special sensitivity for the needs of transit‑dependent, elderly, and disabled passengers
Responsibilities
  • Transport customers and assist them with important travel decisions
  • Maintain a clean and professional demeanor and appearance
  • Support customers with travel‑related questions and issues
  • Collect and report passenger fares and ridership accurately and honestly
  • Assist customers using wheelchairs or other mobility devices
  • Communicate with team members and complete written reports and forms
  • Adhere to all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and guidelines
  • Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, noting any mechanical failures on an Operator Daily Report Sheet / Bus Log Sheet
  • Adhere to fixed‑route procedures, including making verbal announcements of major intersections along the designated route
  • Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands

Sitting, walking, standing, bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, grasping, pushing/pulling, reaching, and lifting/carrying 0‑30 pounds.
