CDL Truck Driver

Job Details

Base pay starts at $25.00-$30.00 per hour

A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) truck driver plays a crucial role in the transportation and logistics industry. The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor‑trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top‑notch customer service. There will be up to two nights over the road that will take place two to five times out of the year.

• Driving Long Distances: Transport goods to various destinations, often across state lines.
• Cargo Management
  :
  Load, secure, and unload cargo safely.
• Documentation
  :
  Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of working hours and miles driven.
• Vehicle Maintenance
  :
  Perform regular inspections and maintenance of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
• Route Planning
  :
  Use GPS and other tools to plan efficient routes.
• Communication
  :
  Coordinate with dispatchers and communicate effectively with clients and co‑workers.
• Safety
  :
  Monitor traffic and weather conditions to ensure safe driving practices.

• Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Clean driving record.
• Minimum of two years experience as a truck driver, preferably with long‑haul driving.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to tarp and strap flatbed loads.
• Experience operating trailer‑mounted forklift.
• Familiarity with electronic equipment and software, such as GPS and AVL units.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including loading and unloading cargo.
