Shipping and Receiving Associate Job Description
This role supports daily shipping operations by accurately picking, packing, labeling, and preparing customer orders for outbound shipment. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled facility and handle physical tasks such as loading trucks and moving materials in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and accuracy standards.
Responsibilities- Pick parts and materials for customer orders based on instructions provided through the computer system.
- Accurately pack items into boxes to ensure safe and secure shipment.
- Label packages correctly according to shipping and carrier requirements.
- Verify order accuracy before shipment to maintain quality and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with loading trucks and unloading materials as needed in the shipping and receiving area.
- Move materials within the shipping area to support efficient outbound operations.
- Use computers for data entry, order processing, and shipping documentation.
- Operate RF scanners to locate, identify, and track inventory and orders.
- Support general shipping and receiving tasks, including organizing shipments and staging orders for pickup.
- Hands-on experience with packing, picking, and order picking in a warehouse or shipping environment.
- Proficiency with picking and packing processes to ensure accurate and secure shipments.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry and navigating basic shipping or order management systems.
- Experience with shipping and receiving activities, including preparing outbound shipments.
- Ability to use an RF scanner for inventory and order tracking.
- Capability to load product onto trucks safely and efficiently.
- Experience with loading, unloading, and receiving materials.
- Ability to operate or work around forklifts in a shipping and receiving environment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically active role that involves standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse or manufacturing facility.
- Familiarity with basic shipping documentation and labeling requirements.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Strong reliability and willingness to support team goals and operational deadlines.

WorkEnvironment
The role is based in a clean, climate-controlled facility focused on manufacturing and shipping products. You will work on a first-shift schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in a shipping and receiving area that uses computers and RF scanners to manage orders and inventory. The environment supports consistent, steady work with regular interaction with materials handling equipment and trucks.
JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
