Definition:

Under close supervision collects fee; sells golf equipment; and starts players on golf course.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Collects fees from golfers and issues receipts; arranges golfers into groups of four; starts players to assume proper spacing between groups so that they will not interfere with one another; takes measures to expedite play such as permitting faster groups to play by slower groups; sells golf equipment; takes inventory of golf supplies; keeps the pro shop area in a clean and orderly condition.

Requirements:

Knowledge of:
The game of golf and of the rules and procedures used on a golf course.

Ability to:
Read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position; understand, remember, and carry out oral and written instructions; learn quickly from oral explanations and demonstrations; work harmoniously with patrons and coworkers; see that course equipment is not misused, damaged, or stolen; perform routine manual operations; prepare and maintain necessary records and files.

Cash Register, Golf Cart.

Physical Demands:

Position requires employee to:
Continuously stand, talk and hear, use hands to finger handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms; frequently walk and lift up to 10 lbs.; and occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Special vision requirements: close, distance, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Position requires employee to:
Frequently work in outdoor weather conditions such as heat and sun; and occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, insects, and the smell of freshly cut grass.
