Cost Accountant

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role will be responsible for analyzing production costs, maintaining accurate inventory and cost records, supporting month-end close activities, and providing financial insights to help drive operational efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cost accounting principles within a manufacturing environment and the ability to work closely with both accounting and operations teams.

• Monitor manufacturing costs, variances, and production efficiencies, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory processes.
• Maintain accurate cost accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Maintain the fixed asset ledger, including asset additions, disposals, depreciation calculations, and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and record monthly accruals and other adjusting journal entries to support an accurate and timely month-end close process.
