Collections Specialist

Description

A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Collections Specialist who can balance professionalism with persistence. You'll partner with customers and internal accounting teams to resolve outstanding balances while maintaining positive business relationships.

Responsibilities

+ Contact customers regarding past-due invoices

+ Review aging reports and prioritize collection efforts

+ Research payment discrepancies and resolve billing issues

+ Negotiate payment arrangements when appropriate

+ Document collection activities within the accounting system

+ Partner with Sales and Customer Service to resolve account concerns

+ Prepare weekly collection status reports

Requirements

+ 2+ years of business-to-business collections experience

+ Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred

+ Strong negotiation and customer service skills

+ Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

+

Experience with ERP systems is preferred
