Overview
One regular, part-time position, 18 hours per week, 12 months per year on the Oceanside Campus. The schedule will vary based on the semester and game schedule. Workdays may include Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Fridays, with a schedule that could look like Monday 12:30 PM-6:30 PM, Tuesday 10:00 AM-4:00 PM, and Friday 10:00 AM-4:00 PM. The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation.
This is an “extended-day” position with potential variability in daily work hours. Overtime compensation may not apply for hours exceeding eight (8) in a single day; however, hours worked beyond forty (40) in a standard workweek shall be compensated on an overtime basis.
Mira Costa College Board Policy 7800:
Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two hundred (200) road miles from the employee’s regularly assigned district worksite. The District may consider an individual’s request to temporarily reside outside the State of California or beyond the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, provided it does not exceed 12 consecutive months.
Under general supervision, assist in the coordination and implementation of a comprehensive sports medicine program for college intercollegiate sports; perform professional and administrative activities in service to student athletes; and perform related duties as assigned.
CompensationStarting at $38.14 per hour (range 24, step
1), with annual salary step increases up to step 5.
