We are seeking a Construction Project Engineer III to support our Hyperscale Data Center project in Spartanburg, SC. This on‑site role will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and project team to manage project information, coordinate documentation, and ensure timely, budget‑constrained delivery with high quality.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Project Manager in executing and managing the change management process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Act as a key contributor in monthly cost reporting meetings, providing meaningful insights and analysis.
- Adhere to and support project controls procedures, including cost tracking, pay applications, and reporting.
- Coordinate and expedite material procurement and delivery to maintain project schedules.
- Review and evaluate shop drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract documents.
- Ensure all project documentation is collected, organized, and distributed effectively across stakeholders.
- Promote innovation by encouraging teams to explore creative solutions to challenges and opportunities.
- Foster a customer‑centric approach, proactively reviewing feedback and strengthening client relationships.
- Demonstrate understanding of various market sectors and delivery methods to enhance service delivery.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their professional growth.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 4 or more years of experience with a general contractor, construction manager, or large trade contractor.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to set measurable performance goals and hold teams accountable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, collaboration, and engagement.
- Understanding of financial management principles and how project performance impacts profitability.
- Ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences, including delivering clear presentations and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of construction cost controls and reporting practices.
- Familiarity with MEP systems and coordination.
- Strong understanding of contract documents, specifications, and construction processes.
The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $, determined by location and other factors. Employees have access to medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance; a 401(k) plan; stock‑purchase opportunities; and a deferred compensation plan.
