Mira Costa College is accepting applications for an instructor to teach the following class: DNCE 146:
Latin Dance Technique I, which will be offered in the Fall Semester of 2026 at the Oceanside Campus.
The mix‑leveled Latin Dance courses introduce dance principles and techniques of Latin partnering dances, such as the cha‑cha‑cha, bachata, salsa, samba, and rumba. Students learn and perform basic Latin dances while improving alignment, timing, coordination, and partnering techniques.
Residency RequirementMira Costa College Board Policy 7800 requires all associate faculty employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two-hundred (200) road miles from the employee’s regularly assigned district worksite. Associate faculty who have a fully online assignment must reside within the state of California, but may live beyond the 200‑mile limit without requiring an exception.
The District may consider a temporary residence outside California or beyond the 200‑mile limit on a case‑by‑case basis, not to exceed twelve consecutive months.
Under direction, plan, organize and teach assigned courses in an instructional field or discipline in accordance with approved course outlines, education code requirements and faculty contract provisions; provide feedback and guidance to students and evaluate student performance; and perform related duties as assigned.
Compensation- Hourly rate: $89.79 to $105.04, based on education.
