Instructional Assistant - Training Specialists

The Person nel Commission announces an open and promotional recruitment for a single position in the Education Support Services Department. This is a 6 hour/day, 10 month appointment that will use integrated eligibility lists authorized by the Commission. The position will support the development of job training sites in public and private sectors, assist in placement of special education student workers, facilitate transition from high school to career, and instruct special education student workers at community job training sites.

• Support development of job training sites in the public and private sectors.
• Assist in placement of special education student workers.

• Instruct special education student workers in community job training sites.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extensive paid or volunteer experience working with children.
• Experience with special education high‑school students preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and abilities to support the responsibilities described.
