We're partnering with a medical device manufacturer seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvement, automation initiatives, and manufacturing excellence. This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to influence production strategy, lead cross-functional projects, and mentor engineering talent.
Key Responsibilities- Lead manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive automation and operational efficiency projects from concept through implementation.
- Analyze and optimize workflows, equipment layouts, and production methods.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
- Support new product introductions and process validation activities.
- Conduct technical reviews and present recommendations to leadership.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
- Champion lean manufacturing and quality-driven improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong background in process development, automation, and project management.
- Experience with in highly regulated or precision manufacturing industries such as medical devices, aerospace, defense, or similar sectors.
- Hands‑on experience with machining, metal fabrication, tooling, fixtures, or plastics manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and perform technical problem‑solving.
- Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or AS9100 is highly desirable.
- Solid Works or other 3D CAD experience preferred.
