Position: Team Member - Regal Oceanside Starting @ $16.90/Hr

Team members are classified as variable hour, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular, or full‑time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is to ensure guests receive exceptional service. They may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Team members must represent Regal consistently with the company mission and policies, including regular attendance, handling emergency situations, general cleaning duties, and compliance with the dress code.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Box Office
  • Operate POS system, managing cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons with accuracy.
  • Up‑sell and suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
  • Respond to phone calls and questions from guests in a manner consistent with the guest‑service philosophy.
Concession
  • Operate POS system, managing cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed coupons, and maintain concession stock inventory.
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession‑related equipment.
  • Up‑sell and suggestive selling.
  • Compliance with all local, state, and federal food‑safety laws.
  • Observe all applicable laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
  • Maintain current alcohol certification and training where applicable.
  • Acquire and maintain legal age status when selling or serving alcohol according to state or local laws.
  • Read and understand training materials on sexual harassment and discrimination.
Usher
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to their auditoriums.
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats when necessary.
  • Enforce the MPAA rating system.
  • Conduct in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, prevent film and content theft, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Report any problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management.
  • Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management.
  • Clean auditoriums at the end of scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby areas, hallways, and other spaces outside the auditorium.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
  • Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
Pay Scale Information

$16.90

Qualifications
  • Education/

    Experience:

    Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as a box‑office cashier or progress toward completion is required.
  • Alcohol Knowledge (if applicable):
    Completion of required state or local training and Regal Responsible Beverage Server training.
  • Language Ability:
    Good public speaking, active listening, and clear and direct response.
  • Math Ability:
    Perform calculations accurately, identify and correct errors.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Identify problems, gather relevant data, evaluate alternatives, make evidence‑based conclusions, and take action under pressure.
  • Personal

    Skills:

    Excellent communication with customers, co‑workers, and management; ability to set goals, budget time, and prioritize tasks to achieve objectives.
  • Physical Demands:
    Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, lift up to 60 pounds, and shift positions frequently; required vision includes close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
