Position Summary
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing treatment programs to restore and improve the daily physical functions of our patients. You will design programs based on the patient’s specific goals to get them back to work and life with dignity and confidence. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.
DescriptionSpecialties:
Orthopedics, sports medicine, manual therapy, ergonomics, injury prevention.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 3 days at Oceanside and 2 days Vista.
Compensation:
Starting compensation range is $70,000.00- $95,000.00 annually. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Must be flexible to cover both our Oceanside and Vista Centers.
Responsibilities- Assesses the therapeutic and rehabilitative status of the patient and develops an appropriate treatment plan
- Updates and modifies the treatment plan on an ongoing basis
- Uses clinical reasoning in treating and planning, implementing, and monitoring patient progress
- Instructs and counsels patients effectively in exercises, home programs, and patient education
- Maintains open communication with the patient and referring physician (when applicable) regarding the patient’s plan of care and progress
- Treats team members, patients, families, and others with dignity and respect
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned
- Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active California OT license required (or license in progress)
- Approval from California Board of Occupational Therapy for Advanced Practice-Hand Therapy and Physical Agent Modalities or Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Knowledge of physical therapy office management systems and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Outpatient experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
