We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our pediatric clinical care team. This role focuses on the assessment and treatment of pediatric patients presenting with sensory-based and mild oral motor feeding/eating difficulties. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of sensory diet programs and autism-specific therapeutic interventions within an outpatient setting.
Schedule & Hours- Shift:
4x10s (Days) | 08:00 – 18:30. - Days:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (
Tuesdays Off
). - Team Meetings:
One Tuesday per month. (Attendance is optional; hours will be adjusted during the week to accommodate if attending). - Guaranteed
Hours:
Hours are guaranteed following the completion of the standard call-off policy. - On-Call:
No on-call requirements. (
Note:
May be called off based on patient census).
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for pediatric patients with feeding and eating disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing advanced feeding techniques.
- Collaborate with families to establish sensory diet programs and home exercise plans.
- Manage a pediatric caseload with a high prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and sensory processing challenges.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of OT experience;
Pediatric Outpatient experience is required. - Specialized
Skills:
Proven experience with feeding techniques, sensory diet programs, and treating patients with Autism. - Licensure: Must hold an active California OT License at the time of submission.
- Certifications: Active NBCOT and BLS (Basic Life Support) are required.
- Travelers: First-time travelers are welcome! (
Note:
Local candidates are not being accepted for this travel contract). - Preferred: Prior experience in a Children’s Hospital setting is a plus.
- RTO:
Maximum of 6 days Requested Time Off (RTO) will be considered. - Compliance:
All credentials must be active and verifiable
