Center For Positive Changes (CFPC) is seeking a Licensed Therapist / Head of Service (HOS) to join our clinical team serving youth in a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP).

This is an opportunity for a licensed mental health professional who is passionate about working with adolescents and transitional-age youth and wants to provide meaningful, trauma-informed behavioral health services in a collaborative residential setting.

As the HOS, you'll provide clinical services, assessment, treatment planning, individual and family therapy, care coordination, crisis intervention, and clinical leadership while collaborating closely with our Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialists, residential staff, social workers, probation officers, families, and other members of each youth's support system.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Required License

Applicants must hold an active California license as one of the following:

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Required Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a residential treatment facility or outpatient mental health program
  • Experience working with children and adolescents is strongly preferred
What You'll Do
  • Provide Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) to youth in an STRTP setting
  • Complete initial and ongoing mental health assessments
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans and safety plans
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy
  • Provide psychoeducation and therapeutic interventions
  • Help youth develop emotional regulation, coping, communication, and life skills
  • Conduct care coordination and connect youth and families with appropriate community resources
  • Assess strengths, needs, symptoms, behaviors, and treatment progress
  • Provide clinical recommendations and communicate treatment decisions to the youth's multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and incident debriefing
  • Facilitate and participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) and Treatment Team meetings
  • Collaborate with MHRS staff to ensure treatment interventions are implemented appropriately
  • Provide education and support to families and significant support persons
