Overview

Position Title: WISE Lab Manager

Location: Camp Pendleton, CA

Position Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000

Responsibilities
  • This position reports directly to the Program Manager, or their designee. This role will support the Warfighter Integration Simulation Environment (WISE) Lab located at the Warfighter Support Division (WSD) in Camp Pendleton, CA.
  • Support the lab, a facility dedicated to developing and evaluating solutions that enhance the integration of technologies, tactics, and strategies to empower warfighters.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of researchers, engineers, and military experts to design, simulate, and assess complex scenarios that replicate real-world battlefield conditions.
  • Manage and maintain the network and server infrastructure using COTS, GOTS, and Program of Record (POR) hardware and software; configure test and development environments; procure software and hardware; backup and restore systems.
  • Ensure IT infrastructure aligns with organizational needs, remains secure, and operates reliably.
  • Work cross-functionally with several departments and may travel to Government Customers’ sites as requested. Travel up to 10%.
  • Coordinate network and server management to ensure optimal functionality, including uptime, software updates, and network infrastructure management.
  • Procure and install hardware and software to maintain and expand the WISE Lab infrastructure and capabilities.
  • Perform data backup and recovery to safeguard assets and ensure availability.
  • Conduct performance testing and monitoring to analyze data and resolve issues affecting hardware, software, and network performance.
  • Provide simulation tool expertise to assist warfighters, commanders, and policymakers in visualizing and interacting with dynamic operational scenarios.
  • Support integration of emerging technologies with existing Program of Record (PoR) systems.
  • Provide ongoing training and supervision of analysts regarding computer software, hardware, and lab procedures.

Travel and Requirements
  • TRAVEL REQUIRED FOR POSITION:
    Must be able to obtain or possess a valid US Passport and be physically qualified to support military exercises and contingency operations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred, but not required
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps C4I systems and equipment
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience
  • Direct participation in real-world operations is required
  • Technical knowledge: VLANs, VTP, port channels, router-on-a-stick, layer 3 switches, PTP, EIGRP, OSPF, route filters, GRE/MGRE tunnels, IPSec, VRF, multicast, access lists, and TACLANEs
  • Microsoft domain replication, domain trusts, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, WDS, SharePoint, Windows Firewalls, LDAP, SCCM/MECM, Bluecoat Proxy Server, PKI, and FSMO Roles
  • VMWARE ESXi, VCSA, VSAN, vSwitching, vMotion, EVC, HA, DRS, and VM templates
  • Experience creating Visio diagrams for capturing network and server architecture
  • Familiar with ANW2 and MUOS networks
  • Integrating classified networks into network architecture via TACLANEs
  • Cisco routing and switching, Unity Connection, IM & Presence Service, CUCM, UCS-E
  • Integrating classified networks into network architecture using Crypto Key Generators
  • Willing to work in a 24x7x365 secured environment, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and flexible scheduling
