We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support transportation and supply chain operations for a rapidly growing wellness and beverage company. In this contract role, you will coordinate domestic freight movements, monitor shipment activity, maintain transportation documentation, and serve as a key liaison between internal teams, carriers, warehouses, and third-party logistics providers.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a recognized consumer brand while contributing to a fast-paced logistics operation. Following initial onsite training, the position offers a hybrid work schedule, with potential consideration for future opportunities as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Enter, update, and maintain transportation orders within TMS, ERP, and related systems.
- Verify shipment information, routing instructions, and order details for accuracy.
- Schedule carrier pickups, deliveries, and warehouse appointments.
- Track shipment progress, proactively identifying and resolving transportation issues.
- Maintain accurate transportation documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Proofs of Delivery (PODs).
- Provide timely shipment status updates to internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with carriers, warehouse partners, and third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Update logistics dashboards, reports, and spreadsheets with current shipment and performance data.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prioritize and manage multiple orders, shipments, and freight-related issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with additional transportation and logistics projects as needed.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or operations coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working within Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience coordinating domestic transportation, including carrier scheduling and freight tracking.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams.
- Comfortable operating in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with in the consumer packaged goods (CPG), food, beverage, or perishable goods industries.
- Understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Familiarity with cold chain logistics and temperature-controlled transportation.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms.
- Knowledge of food safety, transportation compliance, and warehouse operations.
- Advanced Excel skills for reporting, tracking, and logistics performance analysis.
- Experience supporting carrier communication and transportation issue resolution.
- First 1–2 weeks onsite for training and transition support.
- Hybrid schedule following training, with required onsite attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Office-based role with occasional warehouse exposure in refrigerated environments.
- Minimal travel (1–2 times annually) for company events or warehouse partner visits.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
