Warehouse Janitor

Job Summary:
The Warehouse Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout the warehouse and surrounding work areas. This position performs routine cleaning duties, assists in light maintenance tasks, and supports warehouse operations by upholding sanitation and cleanliness standards.

• Clean and warehouse floors, aisles, workstations, breakrooms, restrooms, and other common areas
• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and dispose of waste according to company procedures
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and maintain hygiene stations
• Monitor and restock janitorial supplies (soap, paper towels, sanitizers, etc.)
• Sweep and maintain outdoor areas, including walkways, entryways, and loading docks
• Assist in basic upkeep of landscaping, such as watering and maintaining flower beds or planters
• Assist with cleaning spills, leaks, or accidents promptly to prevent safety hazards
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines
• Report maintenance issues such as leaks, broken fixtures, or unsafe conditions
• Assist with light facility maintenance or handyman tasks as assigned
• Perform other duties as needed to support warehouse operations

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1+ year of janitorial, custodial, or facilities experience (warehouse or industrial setting preferred)
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage
  
  Strong attention to detail and work ethic
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
• Warehouse environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
• May require use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
