WhatYou Will Do
In alignment with Sharp Health Care's Mission, Vision and Values, this position is accountable for the strategic business plans, operating results, and continued growth of Sharp Tri-City Medical Center (STCMC). The VP CEO-STCMC and Community Engagement is responsible for assuring the highest quality of patient care and professional services, optimal utilization of the facility(ies), development of successful physician relationships, and the achievement of established financial objectives across the assigned entity(ies) and services.
This position is also responsible for driving the integration of Sharp Health Care's strategic growth, operational improvement, disaster preparedness/enterprise readiness, community engagement and system standardization strategies. The VP has accountability for development and prioritization of initiatives in accordance with organizational strategies, creation of standardized rapid cycle project management plans, aligning diverse stakeholders with organizational strategy, mobilization of projects, oversight of project management resources and the creation of various forums and tools for accountability.
Additionally, this role will have responsibility for standardizing key leadership and board planning processes across the system. Key responsibilities include integrating new business units into standardized system processes. These efforts guide the clinical and operational transformation efforts across the organization and ensure alignment across all stakeholders. This role serves as a key resource for the clinical and operations team, ensuring that changes are frontline-sensitive and supportive in making clinical care and support services easier to deliver.
The leader will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and evaluating performance of clinical and operational integration initiatives.
This executive role is uniquely positioned to advance Sharp's community engagement strategy throughout San Diego. The VP provides leadership for enterprise community engagement efforts and shapes strategic priorities for Sharp's community pillar and community health outreach. In partnership with the Business Development, Strategic Planning, Foundation and entity operations teams, the role aligns Sharp's community presence and initiatives with identified community needs, key service lines, and organizational growth strategies.
The VP CEO-STCMC and Community Engagement is a senior-level executive, reporting to the EVP Chief Operating Officer.
Required Qualifications- Master's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
- 10 Or More Years administrative and management experience in a hospital.
- 5 Years of demonstrated experience as an executive leader in healthcare.
- Extensive experience in process and performance improvement, change management and leading large-scale changes at an integrated health system.
- Implementing solutions and optimization.
- Scaling solutions and facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives.
- Working in a large, highly matrixed, integrated delivery system in an executive level position.
