The Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through regular counts and documentation of finished goods, ingredients, and packaging materials. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, along with basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This role also involves adjusting warehouse organization as needed to ensure efficient and accurate counts, while promptly reporting any inventory discrepancies to the Inventory control supervisor.
Schedule- Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Perform daily inventory counts with accuracy and timeliness
- Handle a variety of inventory types and configurations during counts
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy during live operations
- Organize warehouse areas and stage inventory for production needs
Ensure all inventory is properly labeled and stored in the correct locations - Transfer inventory between buildings and stage in designated areas as needed
- Assist in preparing outbound inventory for transfers to off‑site locations for co‑manufacturing, resale, or disposal
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely move materials throughout the facility on a daily basis
- Follow all safety and quality protocols, including SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP standards while in the facility
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance and contribute to a team‑oriented environment
- Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience is a big plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Excel wizards welcome! Basic skills in Word and Outlook also needed
- Strong attention to detail and solid communication skills
- English required;
Spanish is a bonus - Ability to thrive independently while juggling priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Regular exposure to wet, cold manufacturing environments (temperatures as low as 35°F)
- Occasional exposure to dry warehouse spaces or freezer conditions (down to ‑10°F)
- Frequent exposure to high noise levels (above 85 dBA)
- Requires use of PPE including safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, and steel‑toed footwear
- Ability to stand and walk for the full shift
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 100 lbs with continuous motion
- Perform repetitive movements including bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, and twisting
- Climb ladders and stairs; work at heights when needed
- Use hands regularly to grasp, handle, and control objects with a strong grip and dexterity
- Comfortable working around moving machinery on occasion
- Must be able to pass a fit‑for‑duties physical exam
