this job involves

The GMP Cleaning Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the sanitary conditions of controlled biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments. Working under strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and established cleaning protocols, you will ensure compliance with quality standards and FDA regulations. Your meticulous work directly supports the safe production of biopharmaceuticals by maintaining pristine GMP spaces through proper sanitization, accurate documentation, and consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures.

This full-time, non-exempt position may require flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed to support continuous manufacturing operations.

What your day-to-day will look like
  • Perform thorough sanitization and cleaning of GMP spaces using ceiling mops, wall mops, floor mops, and wipers in strict accordance with governing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Verify and implement proper sanitization disinfectant rotation schedules, ensuring the correct disinfectant is applied for each cleaning assignment
  • Complete required GMP documentation with accuracy and attention to detail, maintaining records that meet Good Documentation Practices (GDP) standards
  • Manage daily disposal of waste from GMP manufacturing process area waste receptacles while following proper handling procedures
  • Organize and maintain sanitization supply areas to ensure adequate stock levels and proper storage of cleaning materials
  • Follow proper solvent handling procedures and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols
  • Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining professional behavior in all controlled areas
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Ability to read, write, and understand documentation in English with strong attention to detail
  • Physical capability to perform extended periods of standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching, climbing, and lifting equipment and/or materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Demonstrated ability to follow work instructions precisely and maintain excellent attendance
  • Basic computer experience for documentation and training purposes
  • Willingness to work continuously in full gowning including head covering, facemask, gloves, plant shoes, and safety glasses/goggles and/or face shield
  • Must join Local SIEU within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience cleaning in a biopharmaceutical GMP controlled environment
  • Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Experience with proper handling and rotation of sanitization disinfectants
  • Understanding of company policies and practices, including safety rules and regulations
  • Proven track record of providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Location and Working Hours

Location:

Oceanside, CA. On-site – OCEANSIDE, CA.

Work Shift:

Sunday through Thursday, 2pm - 10:30p, off:
Friday and Saturday.

Compensation
