The Electromechanical Technician – Decon Field Service is responsible for building,testing, and troubleshooting serial-production electronic and electromechanicalassemblies — such as cameras, actuators, control boxes, cables, and robotic tools — in a low-to-medium-volume production environment, and for deploying to customer sites to operate, maintain, and support the company's robotic decontamination (decon) field services. The role spans both in-house assembly and hands-on field service, including work at nuclear facilities.
ResponsibilitiesProduction & Assembly (Internal)
- Perform hand-soldering operations per our standards.
- Measure, mix, and apply polymeric chemical adhesives and two-part compounds to assemblies.
- Label parts and components with identifying information.
- Inspect completed assemblies and sub-assemblies per acceptance criteria.
- Perform electrical acceptance testing per procedures.
- Maintain and complete manufacturing documentation for traceability andissues.
- Operate,maintain,configure,troubleshoot,repair,and mobilize/demobilizerobotictoolsandequipmentin thefield.
- Travel to customers to troubleshoot and repair our product, including decontamination fieldjobs.
- Interfacewithcustomerrepresentatives,3rdpartyreps,andendusersrequiringtechnicalassistance.
- Ensure compliance to project and delivery schedules while onsite.
- Completetripreports,expense reports,andotherassociatedpaperworkcoveringactivitiesinthefield.
- Perform technical product training to customers and distributors.
- Solicitandrelaycustomerfeedbackforthepurposesofimprovingqualityandscopeofcompanyproducts and services; provide technical product suggestions for new features to the R&Dteam.

- Significant hands-onexperienceworkingwithelectricalandmechanicaldevicesandtools;3yearsofworkexperience in a manufacturing/assembly role is highly desirable.
- HavingaDPC
610solderingcertificate,orsimilar,and/or3yearsofhands-onexperiencewithperformingmanual soldering operations, is highly desirable. - Must be able to read and understand assembly and engineering drawingsandblueprints.
- Must be able to prepare and apply chemicals such as paints and two-part compounds.
- Musthaveexperienceworkingwithelectricaltestequipmentsuchasmultimeters,oscilloscopes,andpower supplies.
- Must have strong computer skills, including the ability to use MSOfficeapplications.
- Mustbeabletoworkwithinaprojectenvironment,andwithproductionanddeliveryschedules;prior experience within a 5S or lean production environment is highly desirable.
- Musthaveexcellentcommunicationskills,andbeabletopresentinformationeffectivelyinone-on-oneand small group situations to customers,clients, and other employees.
- Mustbediscreet,energetic,self-starting,self-managed,highly ethical,andhaveimpeccableattention-to- detail and time-management skills, with a strongworkethic.
- Mustbeateamplayerwithpersonalitytraitsthatenablesuccessfulinteractionswithalllevelsofstaff,vendors, and customers.
- Musthaveavaliddriver'slicense,withagooddrivingrecord(occasionaldrivingwithacompanyvehiclemay be required); must have apassport.
- Travel Percentage: 20–25%, some of which may be international.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and quarterly drug screenings.
